We are seeking to have a full time, Physician MD or DO to join our diversed team in North Bend, Oregon. This is an opportunity to serve a mission-based Federally Qualified Heath Center (FQHC) in Coos and Curry Counties along the beautiful Southern Oregon Coast. Waterfall Community Health Center has an onsite 340B Pharmacy, onsite Laboratory, a dedicated site for our Specialty & Primary Care, a Coos Bay, North Bend, North Bay Health Clinic & School Based Health Center on the campus of Marshfield High School and North Bay Elementary, Women’s Health Clinic, Social Health Department, Behavioral Health Department, and Youth Therapy/Autism Center.

Salary: $205,000 - $230,000 DOE

WCHC is proud to participate as a qualified site with Oregon Health Care Provider Incentive Loan Repayment which offers licensed health care providers, as well as pre-licensed mental health providers, an opportunity to apply to receive tax free funds to repay qualifying educational loan debt. Function as a Physician MD or DO in a team and mission-based setting to provide delivery of primary care to patients, including health promotion/maintenance, counseling and education, assessment, acute/chronic care, and consultation/collaboration with other health care professionals, and community resources. Exercises progressive levels of autonomy in day-to-day activities based on satisfactory job performance.

Comply with organizational policies, procedures, standards of care and related laws and regulations including HIPAA and OSHA regulations. Ensure the efficient and effective flow of patients during scheduled clinics through joint planning and problem solving with clinic, office, contract and volunteer staff and other related duties as assigned. Protect the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of patients and their families, as well as co-workers and others. This position may be asked to work at other clinic sites as needed.

Waterfall Clinic, Inc. dba Waterfall Community Health Center (WCHC) is an integrated patient-centered primary care clinic serving insured and uninsured children and adults with a special emphasis on care for persons who experience barriers to accessing care due to income, language, cultural and social barriers. This position will support mission and goal achievement, organizational quality and patient-centered medical home philosophy.


Personnel supervision is not a responsibility of this position.


Works under the direct supervision of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), if vacant, reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Exercises progressive levels of autonomy in day-to-day activities based on satisfactory job performance.

North Bend Clinic



  • Graduate of an accredited school of medicine with Degree in Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), a minimum of one year’s experience is desirable.
  • Completion of Accredited Residency.
  • Unrestricted License and Board Certified to practice medicine in State of Oregon.
  • Current DEA Certificate without restrictions.
  • Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to be credentialed with Medicaid, Medicare, private and other insurance.
  • Demonstrated commitment to high quality health care for low income, ethnically diverse populations.
  • Establish and maintain solid working relationships through communication, cooperation, and positive interactions with all patients, employees, staff, providers and vendors.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule when circumstances necessitate.
  • Ability to use a wide range of office machines including personal computers
  • Demonstrate ability to learn and maintain appropriate technical skills to effective support the electronic records systems and/or other reporting platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Keyboarding at 25+ wpm and reporting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain confidentially – in accordance with WCHC policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply Patient Centered Medical Home principles
  • Valid Oregon Driver’s License


  1. Licensed Physician; State Board Certified or Eligible; Fully Credentialed, and Insurability.
  2. Non-violent Crisis Intervention Comprehensive training class completed within 6 months of hire and recertify prior to expiration date.
  3. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Provider Basic Life Support Card (BLS) within 6 months of hire and recertify prior to expiration date.
  4. Mandatory Trainings for Organization and Advanced Health compliance completed within 3 months of hire, no later than 6 months, and recertify prior to expiration date.
