Accountant Senior

This position is in Vancouver WA USA.

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the Finance Team, with a detailed understanding of financial accounting for a large healthcare institution. The Senior Accountant should have sound analytical skills and is expected to analyze complex financial records and reports. Will be able to distill complex data/analytics to summarized and concise report-outs with management. This role will maintain certain portions of the general ledger to ensure effectiveness and accuracy of accounting tasks. Be familiar with ERP type systems and have strong/advanced spreadsheet skills. This role will have a thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, related internal controls and financial statements (including cash flow). All work should be done with process improvement “LEAN” perspective.

Specific accounting responsibilities revolve around accounting of cash/treasury transactions, equity entries, intercompany and third party leases, interest income and expense and revenue entries.

Skills and Abilities -

  • Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet software
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and application
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to recognize issues and present alternatives for resolution
  • Strong analytical ability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills to interface with internal and external customers

Education and Experience -

  • Bachelor’s degree with major in Accounting
  • 5 years of progressive experience in Accounting
