Senior Public Health Nurse
Sierra County is seeking a professional to join our rural Public Health team as the Senior Public Health Nurse.

Located in California’s scenic northeastern Sierra Mountain Valley means it is peaceful with open spaces and more cows than people. If you need a little city life, it is a doable 45 minute commute to Reno or Truckee. Sierra County is home to hundreds of lakes, hiking and biking trails, and offers something for everyone. The work spans across all facets of public health. There will be some priority around infectious disease prevention and front line COVID-19 interventions as well as community outreach and educations. POSITION SUMMARY— Under general supervision, provides public health nursing services to clients, including clinical care and counseling as well as public health instruction and education. Provides targeted case management; manages communicable disease prevention, immunizations, case investigation/tracing and reporting.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: BACHELORS DEGREE IN NURSING, NURSING LICENSE, POSSESS A VALID LICENSE AS A REGISTERED NURSE IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, SUBSTANTIAL RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE WITH PROGRESSIVE ADVANCEMENT, AND SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE. MUST HAVE A CURRENT VALID DRIVERS LICENSE.
