Oversees The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS) clinical education programs and initiatives focused on increasing organizational capacity and learner capability, and the development and promotion of a learning environment.
Collaborates with leadership and key stakeholders to determine specific educational needs and desired outcomes.
Incorporates feedback in the development of system wide learning and development strategies, aligning programs and curriculum to desired outcomes.
Facilitates adoption of change and achievement of quality clinical care. Advocates for learning needs and trends outcomes.
Responsible for direct supervision of the activities of the assigned instructors and functions of the department.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Current Hawaii State license as a Registered Nurse.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business or related field preferred.
Four (4) years experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a comparable organization.
Two (2) years experience in clinical education and/or training.
Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of education design, development, and evaluation.
Ability in establishing collaborative working relationships with individuals and teams at various levels throughout the organization.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all organizational levels, both verbally and in writing.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
