Looking for a dynamic psychiatric nurse practitioner to join our team of providers. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides medication management and consultation to our interdisciplinary teams. Our teams consist of psychiatric providers, medical assistants, nurses, therapists, case managers, skills trainers, substance abuse treatment providers, peers and others. Works in partnership with primary care providers to treat our clients. Knowledgeable in working with adults with mental health needs. Caseload may include children and/or youth as well as adults, dependent on practitioner’s preference and experience.

Diagnoses, treats and helps prevent mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.

Prescribes, directs and administers psychotherapeutic treatments and medications.

Reviews, evaluates and collaborates with other professionals regarding treatment plans, client progress and outcomes.

Confers on the diagnosis and direction of treatment with client, significant others, agency clinicians, and with client’s other treatment providers.

Participates in mental health and service utilization audits, peer review and quality assurance activities.

Facilitates referrals to appropriate internal and/or external resources where indicated.

Reviews, approves and signs Treatment Plans and Assessments for assigned clients.

Thoroughly documents diagnosis, treatment and all aspects of such illness(es) in accordance with applicable OARs and industry standards. Submits timely documentation of services provided using Electronic Health Records and collaborative documentation.

Participates in phone response on-call schedule.

Manages time and caseload effectively.

Candidate must be able to work independently and flexibly, under general supervision.


Active, unrestricted Oregon license with prescriptive privileges. MAT-C eligible preferred. Eligibility for participation in group professional liability insurance; independent contractors must provide Certificate of Insurance for their individual coverage for work with Options’ clients. Enrollment as a Medicare provider. Computer proficiency required to use Electronic Health Records. Must successfully complete state-required background and DMV checks.

Options for Southern Oregon is subject to the State of Oregon vaccine mandate for healthcare workers. New hires must submit vaccination documentation showing they are fully vaccinated, or be approved for an exception/accommodation, by their hire date.
