Are you looking to further your professional career in the field of Psychology? If you are ready to put your graduate degree to work and gain valuable experience in an inpatient behavioral health setting where you have room to grow and learn, this is the ideal opportunity for you!
Join our team at Eastern State Hospital as a Psychology Associate providing competency restoration classes to people who have been admitted and found not competent for trial by the courts. You will provide evidence-based psychotherapy and psychoeducation and administer psychological testing as needed under the supervision of the ward psychologist. Although temporary, these non-perm appointments are expected to last 12 months, with a possibility of extension.
Some of what you will do
Our Psychology Department seeks those who are committed to being supportive patient advocates. You will need to be comfortable adjusting to frequent organizational change, able to manage multiple tasks, and skillful in finding creative solutions to invigorate hospital initiatives that help empower patients. You should have strong communication skills with a demonstrable ability to conduct group psychotherapy.
Those with a graduate degree (Masters/Doctorate) in Psychology should apply
