JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with the Director, Administrative Services, Queen’s University Medical Group (QUMG), to manage day-to-day QUMG operations.
  • Ensures administrative and clinical operations are aligned with The Queen’s Health System’s (QHS) mission, overall strategic plan, and comply with applicable regulatory requirements and health system policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with QUMG administrative leadership, clinic managers, and QUMG clinical leadership and physicians to assist with developing business strategies and managing operational and capital budgets, to ensure the delivery of high-quality health care services and excellent customer service.
  • Identifies and recommends opportunities for clinical/business development in the community.
  • Ensures that business operations are in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and with the policies and procedures of The Queen’s Medical Center (QMC).
  • Assists with establishing/achieving goals and objectives consistent with QHS’ mission and short, intermediate-, and long-term plans for growth.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or healthcare-related fields.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Management, or related field highly desirable.

B. EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) years of demonstrated and progressive experience in healthcare operations in any or a combination of the following areas: physician practice, health clinic operations, acute care hospital, and/or medical insurance.
  • Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience.
  • Demonstrable experience evidencing:
    • Ability to work effectively with physicians and other clinical providers.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
    • Knowledge of business principles, including business planning, budgeting, financial analysis.
    • Knowledge of clinical and financial systems and management information systems.
    • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement regulatory requirements.
