Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Milwaukee is a destination for specialty tertiary care that includes Heart and Vascular Surgery, Cancer care, Neurosurgery / Stroke care, Orthopedics, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic Surgery, Robotics (DaVinci Robots), and other advanced surgical specialties. We offer a wide range of minimally invasive procedures using robotic-assisted technology. Surgical procedures will continually grow with the recent recruitment of new surgeons. The Perioperative Nurse Director at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Milwaukee Department leadership includes a Surgery Manager and Operating Room Supervisor. The Perioperative Nurse Director role will be significantly involved in performance improvement, physician relations, employee engagement, growth, regulatory readiness, and productivity/financial management of the department.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing OR current home state license if considered multi-state/Compact State.
  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
  • Master's degree or combination of Bachelor's degree and experience preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 5 years of experience required.
  • 10 years of experience preferred.
  • 2 years of leadership or management experience required.
  • 5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
