Cleveland Clinic’s Genomic Medicine Institute is looking to add a Department Administrator II to their dedicated team of caregivers. The Genomic Medicine Institute is committed to performing translational and clinical human genetics and genomics investigation and fostering innovation toward realizing the benefits of personalized genomic-based healthcare. As a Department Administrator, you will manage the department’s overall operations to include budget development, clinical operations and patient access, employee management and non-staff productivity. You will also assist in the development of department strategic initiatives aligned with the institute and enterprise.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health Care Administration or related Field.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.


  • None required.

Complexity of Work:

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Work Experience:

  • Five years progressively responsible related work experience, including supervisory experience.
  • A Master's Degree may offset two years of the experience requirement.
