  • Exempt/Salary
  • New hires can expect to be placed on our starting wage scale of $102,000-$125,000 per year
  • Based on performance, there is room to grow on our full wage scale of $102,000-$147,900 per year

Sign-on Bonus of $5,000

Work Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday
  • This role works 2-3 Saturdays per year as part of a rotation (you get a day off the previous week when you work a Saturday)

Job Summary

As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you would directly supervise & optimize the roles, function, efficiency and performance of the Clinical Support Staff (CSS) department. Duties include:

  1. Leading, managing, and optimizing the performance of MA Supervisors, RNs, and Care Team Coordinators
  2. Managing/owning projects, initiatives, annual goals, and objectives for the medical department as directed by the Medical Operations Manager
  3. Optimizing customer service and patients’ experience of care
  4. Providing input to and assuring achievement of the annual quality measures for the department in collaboration with the Quality Improvement program and the Medical Leadership Team
  5. Managing staff and patient safety for the medical department in partnership with the Medical Leadership Team
  6. Managing the MA Supervisors, RNs, and Care Team Coordinators at our 2 clinics in Bellingham and Ferndale
  7. Providing clinical leadership assistance to other departments, programs and committees within UCNW, such as the Communicable Disease program, Quality Improvement, Care Management, Behavioral Health and Employee Health

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • 5 years’ RN experience in an outpatient setting
  • 2 years’ experience as a Nursing Supervisor
  • Washington State RN license (or be eligible to obtain one if applying from out of state)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working at a community health center
  • Experience working on a multidisciplinary team including medical providers, RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants, Counselors/Clinical Social Workers, Case Managers, and Quality Improvement & Population Health staff
  • Demonstrated skills & knowledge associated with RN level work & performance
  • Passion for UCNW’s mission, vision & values
  • Ability to foster a culture of integrity, compassion, trust, respect & accountability
  • Excellent communication, customer service & leadership skills
  • Ability to travel between our Bellingham & Ferndale sites
  • Experience being a mentor & resource for others
