MCI Solutions serves as a functional link working closely with the MCI executive team to enable the MCI strategy to be executed globally. The Senior Director-Global Consulting is responsible to execute the vision and strategic direction as established by the MCI executive team, leads a subset of functional experts to deliver upon MCI business and strategic priorities, and has ultimate responsibility for global consulting including working closely with clients on a range of complex assignments, leading in a team environment while using independent judgement and critical thinking skills to gather data, frame situations and provide practical solutions to add value based on client needs, coaching and mentoring junior staff both formally and informally, building relationships with clients and seeking opportunities to expand the scope of business, supporting marketing initiatives by assisting with the pitch preparation process and creation of marketing materials and helping to build product and service offering tools and templates. The Senior Director is adept at establishing goals, KPIs/metrics and monitoring team performance. Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to communicate with and present information to all levels of client personnel. Demonstrated agility, adapting, or evolving in response to changing circumstances to meet business needs, advancements, or technologies while working in a matrixed organization is required. The Director is responsible for planning and managing budgets, and performance metrics for assigned MCI business units. International travel required.
Master's degree in business, health care administration or related field; 10 years’ experience in healthcare, consulting or healthcare industry; and 5 years’ experience managing people is required. The individual must possess strong analytical, contracting and negotiation skills as well as have the ability to meet tight deadlines. Effective management experience must include a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal (physician, scientist, administrative, supervisory, and allied health staff) and external client stakeholders. Must have excellent organizational, human relations, decision-making and problem-solving capabilities as well as excellent presentation and communication skills. Must possess strong financial analysis, and strategic and innovative thinking capabilities. Must have ability and confidence to effectively function independently, be a self-starter, a team player and have led direct reports in previous positions. Must be capable of effectively presenting to internal and external groups at a high level. Must be accountable, adaptable, flexible, creative, dependable, responsible, and able to perform well within multi-functional environments. Must be able to manage people and projects simultaneously and to exercise appropriate judgment when prioritizing projects while adhering to Mayo Clinic policies and procedures.
Experience leading large and complex customer service, domestic and global logistics, or field-based service teams is preferred. Operational leadership within an external-facing entity competing in a highly competitive market is preferred.
