Responsible for developing, directing and advising on all aspects of Sanford Health's Patient Experience programs along with the development of applicable strategic plans and associated business plans. The Director of Patient Experience provides leadership, expertise, facilitation and coordination of service excellence, patient experience functions and activities in support of the Sanford Health's vision to be the highest performing integrated health system possible. Collaborates and coaches department heads and staff to implement evidence-based strategies to improve patient experience. Evaluates progress, synthesizes member feedback, and identifies barriers to success. Collaborates with leadership to develop and implement interventions to remove barriers and achieve patient experience goals. Implements action plans, issues resolution, leads program development, education and mentorship of staff. Present data to all levels of the organization, from senior leaders to front line staff. Drives enterprise improvement strategies. Measures, monitors and assesses the outcomes of all initiatives. Collaborates with leaders to achieve goals exceeding national benchmarks. Functions as a subject matter expert for leaders and staff, identifying and sharing evidence-based patient experience improvement best practices. Must possess the ability to deal effectively and tactfully with other health care professionals, physicians, regulatory agency staff and the public as a communication link and resource person. Demonstrates the ability to write clearly and concisely, communicating complex concepts accurately. Effectively presents information in a variety of venues and organizes communication systems necessary to achieve goals. Demonstrates knowledge of financial forecasting, data reporting, development and implementation of systems and resource management. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required. Area of focus Business, Healthcare, Marketing or related field preferred.

Ten years administrative and management experience required. Five years of leadership/supervisory responsibility in a business setting required.

Current licensure as appropriate to position in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. When applicable, may need a valid driver's license. If valid driver's license is required, must maintain a good driving record.
