Overview:

Coordinates implementation of evidence-based assertive community treatment (ACT) in selected sites across the state. Conducts trainings at various sites and at annual events. Performs fidelity reviews for assigned evidence based program models. Extensive travel required.

The successful applicant will have the ability to meet people with ease; write and edit effectively; communicate the written and spoken word with tact, diplomacy, and/or authority when necessary; good organizational skills, well disciplined, able to meet deadlines, self starter, and be an effective public speaker.

Responsibilities:

Coordinates implementation of evidence-based Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) in selected sites across the state.

Assists sites in developing stakeholder groups with key members.

Acts as liaison between community mental health providers and community partners such as Oregon Health Authority, Oregon State Hospital, Coordinated Care Organizations, Department of Corrections, and others as needed for relationship/ partnership development.

Meets individually with program managers and directors as needed to address specific implementation aspects that are site specific.

Presents principles of ACT to consumers, families, clinical staff and community partners in venues that include trainings and kickoff events.

Assists with development of an intensive training plan for each community mental health provider implementing ACT.

Training

Assists with the production of annual ACT statewide training events with multiple speakers, slideshows, and group activities.

Conducts ACT training on site.

Assists with all site monthly ACT conference calls. Calls will cover specific topics within toolkit materials, supplemental materials and topics of ongoing training.

Provides phone and email support, along with regular electronic resource distribution, to all ACT team members and stakeholders as implementation occurs.

Presents in didactic style materials developed locally, such as reporting forms, intake forms, and referral forms. National level documentation, such as fidelity reviews and outcome forms will be presented specifically. Additional documentation required by clinical staff, such as treatment plan, will be addressed in site specific trainings.

Qualifications:

Position requires the ability to telecommute and work independently in the field. Proficiency with a variety of software applications and technologies required.

Lived experience of mental illness and recovery a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) is required, Master’s degree preferred.

Experience with program evaluation and ACT preferred.

Valid OR drivers license required with an excellent driving record and ability to drive between sites in Oregon. Must successfully complete state-required background check and DMV check.
