The Director of Clinical Quality Improvement leads and directs performance improvement activities as well as develops departmental goals, plans and standards. This individual will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing all activities related to staffing, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives. Seeking candidates with a strong knowledge in the preparation of departmental budgets and adherence to compliance standards with allocated funding. The director will be responsible for coordinating and directing internal/external audits. This candidate must have experience in directing and evaluating all clinical activities including care plan development, service level determination and complaint management. Directs and facilitates Carondelet Health Networks’ quality and High Reliability patient and associate safety program; develops, evaluates, and executes quality initiatives which support the organization’s mission and strategic plan.

Certification Preferred: Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Six Sigma certification or similar quality improvement training, Baldrige experience highly desirable.

Required: Bachelor’s in Healthcare, Administration, Management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience and training.

Required: Five (5) years of work experience. Three (3) years’ experience in healthcare environment. Two (2) years of progressive management/leadership experience in the acute care setting with related data management experience. Preferred: Ten (10) years in the above.
