KHS reasonably expects to pay starting compensation for the Project Management Supervisor position in the range of $113,198 - $143,639 / Annual.

Position Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Project Management Director, the Project Management Supervisor manages, develops, and mentors the Project Management Office (PMO) staff to ensure the successful delivery of Kern Health Systems projects. The Project Management Supervisor is accountable for management of the PMO staff and processes, including but not limited to, creating project charters, scope documents, maintaining project schedules, resource management, and status reporting. This person directs the PMO staff in developing the necessary documents and approaches to properly manage the organization’s projects to a successful conclusion. This individual is also responsible for the success of all projects by supporting, coordinating, and training the use of project and program management methodologies for business and technical project teams and stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Directs, coaches and mentors project managers and other staff in completing projects based on established project management methodologies and established phases.
  • Ensures that all projects are well defined, tracked managed and communicated in a consistent, effective and timely manner.
  • Responsible for the creation, updating and training of all PMO processes, functions (portfolio, project and governance), tools, and resources.
  • Selects and recruits, in consultation with appropriate management, key staff with appropriate skills for project activities.
  • Builds solid relationships with the stakeholders of the PMO.
  • Responsible for overall project portfolio management for Kern Health Systems. Builds the portfolio process and continuously improve the processes of portfolio management.
  • Oversees the coordination, prioritization, and integration of programs and/or multiple projects, resources, and team activities to support organizational goals
  • Works closely with executives and senior management to prioritize and secure internal and external resources necessary for successful program/project implementation
  • Provides monthly senior management reporting on program/project status, trends, issues, and resolution actions
  • Perform Project/Program Manager duties i.e., create project schedules; release plans; work breakdown structure (WBS); facilitate continuous decomposition session through planning sessions; build resource plans; establish project budgets and monitor expense; overseeing project dependencies, manage stakeholder communication; all while driving for timely project completion.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent in relevant field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) required.
  • Management Experience: at least 6 years.
  • Project Management Experience: at least 10 years.

Preferred Experience:

  • Agile Alliance Scrum Master certification

Knowledge of:

  • Agile Scrum methodology
  • Ability to think strategically and the ability to create messaging to influence desired outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, motivational, negotiation, influencing, and communication skills; with success in building, developing, and retaining high performing teams.
  • Ability to mentor and coach team through ambiguity and able to make decisions to accomplish team objectives.
  • Able to lead, manage, conclude, and recommend using data and experience driven decisions.
  • Ability to oversee due diligence and requirement analysis required for roadmap creation, scope, and execution for enhancements and/or product cycle or refresh initiatives.
  • Ability to manage risk through change control and/or escalation protocols if necessary.
  • Ability to scope, define and interpret quantitative analyses of operational problems
  • Proven track record of successful project and program leadership.

Other:

  • Possession of a valid California Drivers’ License and proof of valid State required liability insurance. Required Travel up to 10%
